The General Strath Creek is the passion project of community-minded local Prue Brown. Dishing pies out of the post office, Prue hit a sweet spot with locals. These interactions inspired a multi-functional concept store, housing the post office in Strath Creek. 

  Set within a restored barn, The General Strath Creek is a country corner shop with a considered curation of everyday items. From hot coffee, to bags of ice, each item conveys a sense of support and community. Built to supply locals and welcome visitors, The General Strath Creek is a place for everything and everyone. 

The General Strath Creek acknowledges the Taungurung people as traditional custodians of the Central Victorian land we live, work and grow. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend our respect to all Indigenous Australians. Whose land we feel so fortunate to call home.
